Double Negative is an independent, volunteer run music blog. We strive to create an open and inclusive platform for people who love music, and to cover and promote the best and most unique independent artists making it. Since its inception in Brooklyn in 2019, Double Negative has grown into a multi-city initiative, with writers and photographers based in New York, Boston, DC, and Chicago. We’re not currently accepting submissions for coverage, but feel free to reach out if you're interested in contributing or have any other questions.

David is a writer, photographer, and contributing editor to Double Negative. He frequently tries to sing Talking Heads songs at karaoke bars with coworkers, to the chagrin of all in attendance. David loves synths and samplers - but is always excited to hear about niche indie pop waves from the early 90s. He is also the lord commander of the Double Negative Chicago office, and would be excited to talk about all of your favorite dives in the city.
